Bobbie Anderson was the BHS quarterback who went on to stardom at CU and with the Denver Broncos! What I recall most about that game was simply watching Bobbie run back and forth down the field every time he got the ball! There were times when our guys couldn`t tackle him so they`d try to trip him!

OMG: Look at the weights of all the players on both teams! NONE of them more than 200 lbs. or so? Look at the weights of the linemen. Now days in major HS football the lineups resemble college teams! Whoa!

"AND THEN... our senior year was the first time Fairview EVER beat Boulder High! Boulder High put an outhouse at the front of FHS. Thats what I remember. They liked to call us the Fairview Farmers. HOWEVER, when we whupped em, they shut right up!" ~Shari Payne Ross "I don`t recall the outhouse, but I recall someone dumping a load of cow manure at the front entrance, and the greased flag pole incident. Yep, we were a bunch of hicks living in the sticks, and we liked it!" ~ Alan Saville

Remember that game. Coach Eversol worked with me really hard up to that game. When we came up to the line for our first offense play, across the line was the biggest dude. So, I just followed coaches advice, being 170 lb tackle, I used my great speed and just got in his way. Blake would run off which way I could get that guy to move. ~Dan Schneider
