We are out for a walk today stopping at Starbucks. It is beautiful here after yesterday’s rain. When I bought the coffee, the clerk sees us with our day packs, & asks if we are going for a hike in the mountains. I say that for us Seniors, we like to hike from home to Starbucks and back in the beautiful tree lined neighborhood in Summerlin. That constitutes hiking for us. John Case

I went cycling today for 16 Miles. I’m preparing for my 50th Class Reunion by Reading the 68 Lance. Opps! I forgot to take off my bicycle helmet for the selfie. And I forgot to take off my rear view mirror that attaches to my glasses. But you know what is said in one of the bicycle safety videos, if you don’t fasten your helmet with the 3 point rule, then your helmet is just a hat. John Case

I am finally catching up with all of you, looking all over for my '68 Lance. It is a good thing that all of us look the same now as we did in '68 or I wouldn't recognize anyone! Thanks to all of you for what you have done to make this happen, it sounds like a blast! Layna Beeler Jeju, So. Korea visiting my kids

A few days ago, Colleen and I visited old friend John Case (Fairview H.S. '68) and his wife Marianne at their home in Las Vegas. We had a good time together visiting the Strip as well as nearby scenic Red Rock Canyon. We even watched slides of our 1968 summer-long trip to India! Lance Williams (BHS '68)

Did you know that 2 of your classmates will be playing in the band tomorrow night at the reunion? Stef Ringgenberg on lead guitar and Bob McNair on drums. These old guys can still rock! Their first gig was at the Douglas Junior High talent show in 1964, along with Larry Ferguson and Jim Choun!
